1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Tabby ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

Tabby is a macOS application that provides AI-powered text autocomplete across system text fields. The Software uses third-party language model APIs to generate suggestions.

3. API Keys & Your Account

Tabby operates on a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) model. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys. Tabby does not store, transmit, or have access to your API keys beyond what is necessary to make requests on your behalf.

4. Privacy & Data

Tabby processes text locally on your device to generate completion prompts. Text content is sent to your configured LLM provider to generate suggestions. Tabby does not collect telemetry, analytics, or personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Tabby and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Tabby and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Text generated by AI models via the Software belongs to you, subject to the terms of your LLM provider.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate, appropriate, or free from errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Tabby be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software, including but not limited to costs incurred from API usage.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
